The problem

No more human alarm.

I’ve always been a heavy sleeper. For years I would wake up in the middle of the night and think — if a “perp” broke into my home, they would probably grab my firearm off my nightstand before I could.

It became a real problem when my wife started working nights. She’s a light sleeper, so I had lost my “human alarm.” I decided to look for a solution.

I wanted quick access. No locks, no keys, no fingerprint scans. I wanted my firearm in my hand within seconds. I searched and searched, and the only thing I could find were fabric-type holsters that tuck under the mattress.

I bought a few of them. I didn’t like the sloppiness. Eventually they wiggled their way out and onto the floor. I wasn’t alone — plenty of customer reviews had the same complaint. I knew there had to be a better way, and if no one else had created it yet, maybe it was time I tried.
