Mounting a bed frame instead? The Standard and Platform mounts include a clamping bracket engineered for a bed rail, which this pack does not.

Choose your mounting surface

Beyond the metal bed rail.

A flat magnet for a solid surface. Choose a location and fasteners that can support the mount and its load.

Standalone magnet mounted on a wooden bed frame

Wooden beds & headboards

Secure to sound, solid wood with screws. Fabric upholstery, thin trim and unsupported panels are not a firm mounting surface.

Desks & nightstands

The slim body can mount to a suitable solid furniture panel. Check its thickness and what is behind it before choosing the fasteners.

Walls & safes

Use a suitable structural mounting point and hardware. A magnet inside a safe does not replace the safe’s lock; check the safe manufacturer’s guidance before making modifications.

Cars & trucks

The listing includes vehicle applications, but an open magnet is not locked storage. Review our vehicle and safe-use guidance before choosing a location.

Read before installation

The screws do the holding.

The front attracts the firearm. The back must be mechanically fastened to your chosen surface.

Always use both mounting screws. Do not mount with adhesive tape alone—even on a smooth surface.

What is the tape for?

It can help cushion small surface irregularities. It is an optional supplement to the screws, not a load-bearing attachment.

Before you use the mount

Follow the included instructions, choose hardware appropriate for the surface, and verify the attachment is firm. The 43 lb magnetic rating does not describe the strength of tape, furniture or wall anchors.

Dimensions & materials

Compact body.
Rubber-covered contact.

Each magnet measures 2.9 × 1.75 inches and is 0.3 inches thick. The rubber enclosure separates the magnet from the firearm’s finish.

A neodymium magnet and metal backing sit inside the low-profile body. Two countersunk holes accept the mounting screws.

Check the available flat space before buying. The Universal pack does not include either bed-frame clamping bracket.

Before you order

A few useful answers.

Can I use only the adhesive tape?

No. Use both screws on each magnet. The tape only provides supplemental cushioning and must not carry the load on its own.

Does the back stick magnetically to a metal surface?

Do not use the back as a magnetic mounting attachment. The front is the holding face; the back must be secured with screws.

Can this replace a bed-frame clamp?

It can be screwed to a suitable solid surface such as a wooden bed frame. If you have a compatible metal rail and want a tool-free clamp, choose the Standard or Platform assembly instead.

Is it suitable when children live in or visit the home?

No. An open mount does not restrict access. Choose locked storage and read the safe-use guidance.

Before you buy

A magnet is not a safe.

This is open-access storage with no lock and no code. That is what makes it fast, and it is also why we do not recommend open mounts if children live in or visit the home. A vehicle mount raises separate questions worth reading about first.
